How Circl works

Circl helps your friends answer one question: where are we going, and who's in? Here's everything you can do.

Getting in

Tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google - no passwords. Use either one with the same email and you'll always land on the same account.

Your face: Circl shows the profile photo from whichever account you signed in with (Apple or Google) - pulled live from your public profile, never copied or stored on our servers. No photo on that account? You get a coloured initials badge instead. Uploading your own picture is coming later.

Circles

A circle is your group of friends - the whole crew. You can be in as many as you like. Anyone can start one, and anyone in it can post plans - there's no single boss.

Every circle has a name members see (like DRAMATICELE) and a fixed share link. An owner or admin can rename the circle anytime (tap the ✎) - handy so nobody posts in the wrong circle.

Sharing: circles are either anyone with the link can join, or invite-only (private), where you pull in friends yourself from the searchable invite picker. Grab the link with Copy link on the circle page.

People & roles

ownerEverything. The person who created the circle.
adminRename the circle, invite people, promote members, remove members.
memberTake part in everything, share the link, leave anytime.

The owner picks trusted friends to be admins. Admins can remove members; only the owner can remove an admin - and the owner can't be removed, so the group always has someone in charge. You can always leave a circle yourself.

Coming later: bigger circles will be able to vote on adding or removing someone - and those votes can be anonymous so nobody feels put on the spot.

Events & RSVP

Anyone in a circle can post an event - a place (name + optional map link), a time, and notes. Everyone sees it in the circle feed and taps I'm in, maybe, or can't, so you always know who's coming.

RSVPing going? You can bring a friend - add other circle members you're coming with, without touching their own reply. Every event has a comments thread, and you can duplicate a past one to run it again.

Calendar

The calendar shows everything the circle has planned at a glance, month by month. Tap any day to start a plan for it.

Polls

Can't agree? Start a poll - which bar Friday? - with as many options as you like, single or multiple choice, and an optional closing time. Make it anonymous when the question is a bit sensitive. Results update live.

Who brings what

Turn on a checklist for any event and members claim items - snacks, speaker, the car - so nothing's doubled up or forgotten.

Invites & your bell

Once someone's been in a circle with you, they're a friend - easy to pull into the next event. Invite a friend to an event and they get a notification in their bell (top of the app): accept and they're added and marked going, or decline. No spam, no group-chat @-ing.

Still to come

Push notifications - a nudge on your phone for new plans and closing polls, even when the app is closed.
Custom profile photo - upload your own picture (your sign-in photo already shows behind comments and around your circles).
Group votes on membership - bigger circles voting - anonymously - on who joins or leaves.

Install it like an app

iPhone: open circl.pl in Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen.
Android: open circl.pl in Chrome → menu → Install app.

It opens full-screen like a normal app and works even when you briefly lose signal.
